Half-day afternoon "Cultural-historical taster" (Bus first)
A taste of everything Ulefoss has to offer! A two-hour trip on the Telemark Canal, a fantastic guided tour and delicious food.
From Ulefoss, the bus will take you to Lunde in the heart of the Telemark Canal. Here you board the ship that sails from Lunde Sluse and down the canal landscape to Ulefoss locks. The stretch includes Vrangfoss, which is the largest lock in the Telemark Canal with a lifting height of as much as 23 metres. Here you get to see the lock keepers in action when the canal ship is sluiced down. A unique experience that can only be experienced here! The journey down the historic waterway also offers panoramic views of beautiful nature.

Itinerary:
Kl. 12.05 meeting at Ulefoss locks bus stop, approx. 100 meters before Ulefoss locks.
Kl. 12.22 departure by canal bus from Ulefoss locks bus stop.
12.50 Arrival at Lunde lock.
Kl. 13.20 departure with M/S Victoria or M/S Henrik Ibsen from Lunde lock.
15.20 arrival at Ulefoss locks.
15.45 Guided tour of Øvre Verket.
16.15 2-course menu at Spiseriet.
Guided tour:
When you get off the ship at Ulefoss locks, you will be met by our guide who will take you past Ulefoss Jernværk and down to Øvre Verket. Along the way, the guide tells you about the area and you walk in cultural-historical surroundings all the way. This is an easy walk of about 10 minutes on a nice surface of asphalt and gravel. Øvre Verket is a collection of protected workers' housing that offers a gift shop, exhibitions and local crafts. Ulefoss is described as Norway's oldest industrial town and on the tour you will hear about what it was like for a worker at Ulefoss Jernværk to live here.
Dining:
At Spiseriet at Øvre Verket, a 2-course menu is served, including a unit of drinks (beer, wine or mineral water). Children's menu includes fries with sausage or chicken nuggets, Kuli and an optional ice cream from the ice cream counter.
