M/S Henrik Ibsen

M/S Henrik Ibsen® was built in Gothenburg in 1907 and operated in the Swedish archipelago as M/S Styrsö until 1993 when it came to the Telemark Canal and was named after Skien's famous poet Henrik Ibsen. In 2010, the boat underwent an extensive total restoration. Capacity 99 passengers. M/S Henrik Ibsen sails in daily scheduled service on the Telemark Canal between Skien and Dalen during the summer season.

A voyage on the Telemark Canal aboard M/S Henrik Ibsen® is a unique cultural-historical voyage through spectacular Norwegian nature and fantastic locks, considered the eighth wonder of wood when they were carved into the rock in the late 1800s.  Combining a historic canal cruise with a culinary stay at the fairytale hotel Dalen Hotel anno 1894 is what we call "a spa for the soul".

It is with pride that we invite you on board for a spectacular and historic journey on the Telemark Canal, with a high degree of comfort and service in what is one of Norway's most beautiful nature experiences.
